EPIK Jones has developed from being a DJ pioneering the use of computers to play music as a child in Jamaica to an advocate to growth. Producing & writing records, mixtapes, remixes from teen years. He has represented Jamaica in cricket, music, poetry and academically.
EPIK Jones has toured the world globally as a headliner in Europe, the US, Caribbean, Middle East and as a supporting act in arenas and festiivals globally. He started off as a computerised DJing pioneer in Jamaica, developing into an award winning radio host, club and industry tour DJ for the likes of Sean Paul, Spice, Pretty Ricky, Beenie Man & Shatta Wale. EPIK Jones was CAMA 2021 DJ of the year adding to his many accolades over a 2 decade career.
With over 20 million streams worldwide EPIK Jones projects have been used by BBC, FIFA, CBS, FOX, ITV, VH1, BET, Nettflix, Amazon, Redbull amongst other brands. Fair to say with a globally appealing signature sound and stamp that they have influenced major markets. With the likes of Spice, Shatta Wale (Disney: Lion King), Elephant Man, Xyclone, Konshens, Ishawna, TOK amongst others as some of the names to have collaborated.
Born in Jamaica, migrating to the United States quite young it was around older brother Fire and Uncles in New York that Apachie was around the sound system culture.
Deciding to start own movements equipment, records were collected and then the coining of a name EPIK to go with the movement followed in Poughkepsie New York, before moving to South Florida to continue guiding the EPIK movement.
The acronym of Entertaining People Increasing Knowledge (EPIK) was an idea Apachie developed that has defined every move EPIK has made as they have diversified into other markets.
Born in Jamaica and migrating to the UK in early teens, Pola Bear grew up with EPIK Jones and EPIK Lus in the community of Albion and reconnecting with EPIK Jones in UK.
It was at this time him and Jones combined music collection from computers, cds and other collections. For years borrowing from libraries to rip off CDs to mp3’s and downloading what has become one of the greatest libraries of reggae/dancehall and popular music across the globe.
PolaBeatz has developed into a very good producer with an ear for new talent, different sounds and a work ethic beyond imagination for songwriting. He has been a stalwart in what EPIK has achieved in UK & beyond.
One of EPIK’s more experienced DJs that has coined a lane in Retro era DJing, corporate and wedding events. Also, an original from Albion, St Thomas a common theme amongst most the EPIK team.
EPIK Skelly has over 20 years’ experience in finance, banking and insurance and is very much in charge of a lot of those decisions for EPIK Music Group with the same degree of reliability of his professional DJ Sets that show his array of musical taste to play multiple genres.
EPIK Lus another Albion original in St Thomas, has been a key figure in EPIK growth in Jamaica with his charismatic persona eventually coming to the fore.
His hosting abilities are brilliant, DJing skills cover a wide variety of genres and his talents have taken him to America, Europe and many locations throughout Jamaica to play music.
Together with Abby EverythingStore, EPIK Lus also is very sorted for event decor/design and equipment hire and is very influential in social media marketing, fan engagement amongst his entertaining sets.
Epik Cruz is the newest member of the Epik team with immense skills and reputation to create a vibe through his ability to mix, scratch and move between multiple genres. He is heavily booked throughout St Thomas and with the added experience of operating around a sound system is a welcomed addition to the talented Epik team.
Fya Neil has been around sound system culture for over 3 decades, with every year of experience shown in his ability to rock a street party just as well as a corporate event from the beginning to the end.
Fya Neil adds real sound system quality to the EPIK team and a talent that is undeniable once hearing him play anywhere. He has also coined a business in shipping, brokerage of vehicles to Jamaica.
Jazzy joined EPIK movement after being amongst EPIK Skelly and Fya Neil at a few events in St Thomas, Jamaica. His mixing ability is immense with smooth transitions, scratching and cuts evident as well as seamless changing of genres.
Not one to say much, his mixing does the talking and he has now migrated to San Jose, California where he still delivers DJing on the west coast of America. Jazzy has been a part of the Tesla family since migrating and has shown the same level of dedication to the game changing automotive techs as he has to EPIK over the years.
The youngest member of EPIK starting from as early as a baby as photos illustrate, Daiquan start showing skills of DJing from as early as 4 years old when joining his father EPIK Jones to studio. He has knocked on the door ever since hoping to become a part of EPIK.
With a very great CV already with endorsements from Spice (Queen of Dancehall), Tony Matterhorn (Jamaica’s Greatest Selector), Maya Jama, Sneakbo, StoneBwoy, Big Narstie & MixPak. Daiquan has blessed RedBull, NikeTown, Festivals, Charlton Athletic, Parties and Youth clubs across the UK winning the Jack Petchey award for his contribution to the community of Greenwich borough.
EPIK Daiquan is most definitely the future or EPIK and has the ability to mix a range or music, already has produced, written and recorded music all before age 10.
A younger brother of Apache & EPIK Jones, Stringas has been as much a part of the EPIK movement in Jamaica as in UK, whether with dancing or just his connections globally.
His input to the movement with his accounting and production management background helps to keep the business efficient based in San Diego now he has the experience of living in Jamaica, UK, California and delivering at a top level in cricket everywhere he has lived.
A major consultant with all things legal and a balanced approach with her educational background. Taz as she is affectionately known has grown around music lovers being the sister of Apachie, Stringas and EPIK Jones.
She herself was a singer, drama performer, and apart of alot of events during time of youth clubs. She now gives her sound advice with a lot of EPIK legal manoeuvres within the event and entertainment business.
In charge of branding & merchandise in the UK Stacy is the wife of EPIK Jones and mother to EPIK Daiquan. She has successfully provided the logo on shirts, jumpers, shorts, jeans, bags, laptops, cups and caps.
With creative arts a big part of her expertise formally a dancer and choreographer, she provided the vital connection for EPIK to Spice from her friendship with her growing up in Jamaica.
